Jñana is a student-led non-profit organization that serves to bring novel educational techniques to countries around the globe in order to increase self-dependency and foster creative educational methods. Learning, in essence, is the focal point of Jñana. Jñana was founded by Kshitij Kulkarni and Drew Fishman, both 11th grade students at Coral Reef Senior High School in Miami, FL, USA, after Kshitij visited India in the summer of 2012 and saw the necessity of creative, engaging education, and related the same to Drew. Subsequently, in the next summer, Kshitij conducted workshops in American culture, creative writing, and the scientific method in Pune, India. Jñana and CAFRED are cooperating in order to develop tools and techniques paralleling those utilized in India in order to serve the residents of El Salvador. Jñana truly believes that this relationship will lead to reachable goals and productive outcomes to follow.
